Abbey Games is an indie entertainment game studio based in Utrecht, and we believe that great games come from developers who work hard and hone their craft. Our primary focus is 2D/2.5D games with plenty of mechanical and technical depth.
We're looking for someone that loves strategy management games like we do, and that wants to jump at the opportunity to work on the intricate systems behind them.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
This is a part-time, 3 or 4 days a week, on-site role for a Junior Unity Developer located in Utrecht, Netherlands. You will work with us on game code, UI and tools for our strategy management games.
As a junior, we will invest in your development and offer you a competitive salary for the position. We expect someone with ambition, talent and the portfolio to create a good cooperation.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
You speak English, and preferably Dutch
Part-time: 3 or 4 days a week.
Office policy: At least 2 days at the office

Qualifications
Junior: 0 to 2 years of Professional experience
Graduated from a games or tech program or other relevant background.
Proficient C#
Experienced with Unity: Unity UI, Inspector, Scriptable Objects, Particles
Know your way around git
Practical understanding of SOLID principles or experience with maintaining larger code bases.
Debugging: Can investigate and fix your and other's code.
Gameplay prototyping: find the fun! follow the fun!
Bonus skills
Odin Inspector / Unity custom editors
Knowledge of Unity's universal render pipeline.
Knowledge of 3D graphics pipeline
Build processes, CI/CD
Game Design / Playtesting
UX Design
Knowledge of Steam backend
